It's been a dream of mine to experience working in Japan and visit Tokyo throughout my whole career. From a distance, I grew up fascinated with Anime and the Japanese Architectural style. So, in 2018 when I first landed in Tokyo to lead the Iceberg project design, I was grateful and had finally realised a dream!

The building is located on Meiji-dori Avenue in Omotesando, which is famous for fashion and retail shopping. It's a remarkable structure that is one of the most iconic buildings on the street; known, as The Iceberg by the locals. With prime street-level presence, we developed a fully-fledged cafe (Streamer Coffee) at the entrance that is fully open to the passing traffic.

The main space beyond a wireless tailgate security system operates as a communal workspace by day and events hub in the evening. Our material palette was deliberately refined and straightforward; White walls, concrete floor, an eclectic mix of furniture, and various small Japanese tiles.
